Structural assessment and design of rehabilitation and strengthening interventions for reinforced concrete roof elements throughout the wider Zappeion complex, aiming to preserve the historic character of the monument while ensuring its structural integrity.

The scope of the structural study included detailed documentation of the existing structures, evaluation of their structural condition, and the development of targeted strengthening solutions for the individual building sections of the complex.

Particular emphasis was placed on structural safety, durability and the implementation of compatible engineering solutions, respecting the architectural identity and monumental character of the historic environment.

The proposed interventions ensure the long-term protection, functionality and resilience of the structures, contributing to the preservation of one of Athens’ most significant architectural landmarks.
