The project concerns the structural upgrade of the main theatre and the supporting facilities of Petra Theatre in Petroupoli, aiming to enhance safety, functionality and the overall visitor experience.

The structural study included the assessment of the existing structures, evaluation of their load-bearing capacity, design of the required strengthening interventions and upgrading of structural elements in accordance with current safety and seismic design standards.

Particular emphasis was placed on the design and integration of new steel structures, as well as contemporary public service facilities, enhancing the operational capabilities of the theatre while harmoniously integrating into the unique natural and cultural landscape of Petra.

The proposed structural solutions combine engineering excellence with respect for the character of the site, ensuring the long-term safety, durability and upgrade of one of Athens’ most important open-air cultural venues.
