The project concerns the structural assessment, rehabilitation and strengthening of the Old High School of Pylos, aiming at the building’s reactivation and adaptation to contemporary educational requirements and structural safety standards.

The structural study included a detailed investigation of the existing condition, evaluation of the load-bearing capacity, identification of structural deficiencies and the design of the required rehabilitation and strengthening interventions.

Particular emphasis was placed on preserving the architectural character of the historic building through carefully selected and compatible engineering solutions, ensuring improved seismic performance, user safety and long-term durability.

Through an integrated structural design approach, the building is upgraded for its return to active educational use, combining its historical significance with modern requirements for functionality, safety and resilience.
