The project concerns the structural design and construction supervision of the load-bearing system of the new Music School of Vartholomio, a contemporary educational complex with specialized requirements, designed around functionality, bioclimatic principles and the demanding acoustic standards of a music education facility.

The structural design was developed in accordance with the latest Eurocodes, ensuring high seismic performance and optimal structural behaviour for the different building components.

The complex consists of three main structural elements:

Central Auditorium: A high-volume cylindrical structure with large spans, accommodating the main event hall and incorporating a green roof system. The structural design addressed the increased permanent loads from the planted roof and the dynamic behaviour of the cylindrical structural form.
Teaching Wings: Two-storey linear structures housing classrooms and laboratories, designed with provisions for the integration of renewable energy systems through photovoltaic installations.
External Works: Structural design of the surrounding infrastructure, including retaining walls, internal courtyards and sports facilities.
